The Mustangs girls basketball team is nearing mid-season, currently they have a record of 9 wins and 3 losses.  The Mustangs only losses have come to ranked opponents in higher classes.  These opponents have a combined record of 43 wins and 5 losses.  In one exciting game the Mustangs faced off with currently undefeated (#2,4A) Wayzata and took a lead into halftime and had opportunities late but came up just short.  New to class AA the Mustangs have set the pace early with their high tempo attack leading all scoring with a  76.7 points per game average.  The Mustangs are also in the top three for class AA with an average point differential of 23.8 points per game.   Mustangs seniors Kylie Post and Jaclyn Jarnot are setting the scoring pace for the Mustangs with 16.5 and 16.3 points per game.  Jaclyn Jarnot is also averaging a double-double for the season with 12 consecutive games of double digit points scored and double digit rebounds.

In MCAA Conference Play the Mustangs have moved to 4 wins and 0 losses.  Early conference match-ups have included West Lutheran (76-30), Trinity (90-40), Heritage Christian(86-68) and Spectrum(80-45).  During The Heritage Christian game Senior Kylie Post joined the 1,000 point club.  The Club now has 9 Mustangs girls basketball players that have scored 1,000 points or more in their varsity career.  Next up the Mustangs will face off against the only other undefeated team in the conference Friday (1/19) at Southwest Christian.

The Mustangs kick off the second half of the season with a home game against Lester Prairie on January 23rd.
